sleepwell – and it’s true!,
We ordered this heated mattress cover from the Netherlands where they are hard to find. Ordered from Amazon, and delivered within the week to the Netherlands. (shipping charges £6.87 against offers of £18 – £25 from other suppliers!). We have a 180 * 210 cm bed, and I was concerned that the cover might be hard to fit (180*200 cm). Fitting was no problem, despite our having a deep interior sprung mattress. We have never climbed into such luxury in all our lives! The heating controls are well designed and functional. Highly recommended!

|Sleepwell Superking Bliss,
We chose this heated mattress cover because of the sophisticated controls and breatheable cotton fabric. Intelligent controls appeal to intelligent people lol. The cover was a perfect superking bed fit. When set to the hottest temperature setting (6) the experience was like having a bath without getting wet – very relaxing!
We had a problem with heating in a poorly insulated bedroom with the bedsheets being so cold in the heating season that it took ages to get to sleep. This cover is very comfortable to lie on. It offers a near perfect heating solution as it heats up within minutes and even the lowest settings provide sufficient comfort. The dual bedside controls offer varied zone control and includes a timer and switch-off lock function. We haven’t programmed it to operate all night yet, but have run it for an hour at bedtime after which it is timed to automatically switch off (so you don’t have to stay awake to switch it off).
Manufacturer’s tests claim it only costs 1p per night to run and the Amazon price was cheaper than elsewhere. Only one issue I might raise is with the control lights which are great if you want to find the controller in the dark but I will probably turn it over to reduce emitted light, preferring to sleep in complete darkness.

Very dubious about buying this because electric blankets of 20+ years ago were uncomfortable (could feel the cable in the blanket through sheets), had to be turned off for safety before getting into bed so could only be used as pre-warmers (unless using an overblanket) etc.
This mattress cover on the other hand is completely unnoticeable, can be used to pre-warm on number 6 or just set on number 5 when you jump into bed and within minutes you are toasty warm and can then turn the setting down.
I was worried because I tend to sweat a lot in bed, but on a setting of 2-3 (depending on how cold it is)this keeps me warm all night without causing me to sweat.
Only one problem – cannot keep the bloody cat out of bed now, but have partially resolved this by making sure my heat setting is always a little lower than my partners side of the bed and the cat goes there:)
Buying another one for my mom for xmas!
